The best world clock apps for Mac
The Mac's menu bar shows one time. If you work across time zones, here are the ways to see more.
The options
- Built in, free: the World Clock widget (right-click the desktop → Edit Widgets → Clock) and the Clock app's World Clock tab on macOS Ventura and later.
- In the menu bar: The Clock ($4.99 on the Mac App Store) shows several cities from the menu bar. Many smaller menu bar clocks list a few cities for a dollar or two.
- On your desktop: Ghanta Ghar, from Spritefolk. A pixel clock tower with your time on top and two cities below, plus a planner that finds a meeting time that works for everyone.
Tips
- Name cities, not zones: "Bengaluru" is easier to read than "IST", and it handles daylight saving for you.
- For meetings, compare working hours, not just times.
Step by step: show multiple time zones on your Mac desktop.
