When does my Claude usage limit reset?

On Claude's paid plans, usage is counted in sessions of about five hours. A session starts with your first message, and your limit for it resets when those five hours are up, not at midnight. Paid plans also have a weekly limit on top. Claude.ai, the desktop app and Claude Code share the same limits.

How to see your reset time

Claude.ai: Settings → Usage shows how much of the current session and week you've used, and when each resets.
Claude Code: type /usage to see the same numbers in your terminal.

The reset times on that screen are the ones that count for your account. Anthropic changes plan limits from time to time, so check Claude's help centre for the current numbers for your plan.
